Summer has officially arrived, and June was one of those months that reminded me just how much can happen in a few short weeks. Between settling into a new home, spending quality time with family, exploring local gems, and helping clients navigate the real estate market, it was a month full of gratitude, growth, and exciting momentum.

A New Chapter in Oakville

If you've been following along, you'll know I moved again! 😅 This time, I've settled into a charming bungalow just minutes from downtown Oakville, nestled near the lake and surrounded by beautiful parks.

While there are still boxes to unpack, it's already starting to feel like home. One of my favourite additions has been a custom-made sofa that I designed from scratch through an amazing furniture connection in Vaughan. Choosing everything—from the fabric to the cushioning and overall style—made the space feel truly personal, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Making Time for What Matters

One of the highlights of the month was having my parents visit from Florida. Time together always feels extra special, and it was wonderful showing them around my new neighbourhood.

June also brought a very important birthday in our home—my sweet fur baby, Fendi, turned six! There were plenty of treats, cuddles, and birthday celebrations to mark the occasion.

With summer finally here, I've also been taking advantage of Oakville's incredible waterfront. Simple afternoons spent enjoying picnics by the lake have quickly become one of my favourite ways to recharge. Sometimes the best moments are the quiet ones—good company, beautiful scenery, and a chance to slow down.

Melissa and I also discovered a new favourite local spot: The Mule in Oakville. If you're a taco lover, it's definitely worth adding to your list this summer.

Behind the Scenes in Business

While June brought plenty of personal milestones, it was also an exciting month professionally.

My marketing team and I spent time mapping out our strategy for the second half of 2026, brainstorming new ideas, fresh content, and ways to continue delivering even more value to clients. I'm looking forward to sharing some exciting updates in the months ahead.

I was also thrilled to bring a wonderful new listing to market at 140 West River Street #301 in Paris, Ontario—a beautiful opportunity that perfectly blends historic character with modern living.

Between showings throughout the GTA, Oakville, Brantford, and surrounding communities, I've continued seeing firsthand that today's market is creating some excellent opportunities for buyers who are prepared and informed.

The first half of 2026 has painted an interesting picture across Southern Ontario.

Throughout much of the Greater Toronto Area, buyer confidence has continued to improve. Sales have increased compared to last year while the number of new listings has begun to slow, creating healthier market conditions as affordability gradually improves.

Meanwhile, Brantford and Brant County continue to offer buyers excellent negotiating opportunities. Prices have settled into a more balanced range following the rapid appreciation of previous years, giving buyers more leverage while encouraging sellers to focus on thoughtful pricing and exceptional presentation.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all market, today's conditions vary significantly by neighbourhood, making local expertise more valuable than ever.
